The often–ignored fixed–income investors are increasingly at the forefront, as companies are challenged by issues that force interaction with them. This proves to be a daunting task, as their filing requirements are far less stringent than those of their equity counterparts. The Altman Group’s identification team can shed light on the debtholder base by identifying an average of 90% of outstanding bonds.
